| I am writing to let you know that this afternoon, the congregation of the Metropolitan Community Church of San Francisco voted to call me as their senior pastor by a vote of 98%, and I have accepted this call.
Throughout the past week during my time here in California I have felt your prayers with me, and I cannot begin to tell you how grateful I am for your support. I know this latest news which holds both joy and sorrow may not be easy to hear, and I hope you know that I am holding you in my heart and prayers deeply as well.
Tomorrow night the WFMCC Board of Trustees and I will be meeting with Rev. Elder Lillie Brock, and we will have more news for you soon about what our next steps together will be. In the meantime, I know that God is with us, and will provide all that we need for the journey ahead.
